Restoring our Environment, Powering our World – A Reclamation Overview of the Vintondale and Thompsontown Waste Coal Piles.

The presentation describes the reclamation work conducted by Robindale Energy Services, Inc. at the Vintondale Pile located in Vintondale Borough, Cambria County, as well as the Thompsontown Pile located in Chest Township, Clearfield County. The two projects were funded by OSM and administered by The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation. (Cambria Office). Marketable waste coal encountered during the reclamation process was transported to either the Seward Generation or Colver Green Energy Power Plants to be utilized as a fuel source.


Bio: 1984 Graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering. For thepast 22 years, Jeff has been with Robindale Energy initially serving as the Transportation Manager, then transitioning to his current role as Engineering Manager for the waste coal operations. He conducts exploration and evaluation of waste coal piles, manages DEP Environmental Permitting and Compliance, and oversees 14 active waste coal operations operated by Robindale Energy in a 4-county area. Also, he is responsible for daily Quality and Quantity waste coal blending at Seward Generation, Colver Green Energy and Ebensburg Power Company Power Plants.
